I can never seem to get enough of a well spun spiderweb! Seems a fitting capture on Halloween month.

Circular spider webs never cease to amaze me. This one was a very small one hung between two fence poles.

I’m finding that wet leaves and flowers can look so much more amazing than dry leaves and flowers in the camera. I particularly like the reflection of other leaves in the water droplet appearing as if suspended in the drop itself. I have included an enlarged crop of the droplet incase you are viewing on small or mobile screens.

As promised, some more shots of this interesting spider whom I have yet to see upright.

I still have yet to identify this kind of spider but they have been appearing in masses around my mother’s yard behind the brick wall which separates her yard from the neighbors. They build very uniformed webs and do not stray from that web work, and if you destroy or tamper with it, they will quickly rebuild it again and again. Redid this shot in negative and will post some more shots I took of these strange and fascinating upside-down hangers later.

My attempt to capture and focus on one single floating line of spider web silk.
