A little backyard unstacked single shot of the night sky with my camera set to it’s maximum bulb exposure time of approximately 8 minutes. The star trail left at this exposure time to me, tends to look like it’s raining light in a most literal sense.

NightTrailing
I had just purchased a shutter remote for my camera with an interval timer and thought I’d try some star trailing shoots. This is my second attempt at this using a compilation of just 62 images at 30 second exposure in 1 minute intervals (30sec capture 30 seconds processing time) and 400iso.

A most amazing sky yesterday evening on a hot and humid summer night which I could not let pass without getting some shots off!

The last trace of sunset’s glow before slipping into the darkness of the night sky and the light of the stars.

Taken at iso200 22mm F5.0 at 20 sec.

The evening sunset after this morning’s rain. A nice slight rainbow effect in the sky off to the right as well. Was happy to be able to snap both the sunset and the color banding in the sky in full frame without having to resort to panorama mode.
