Webs EFV

Along the rocks in the harbor of Santa Barbara Ca. are a mass of web work with no spiders to be found. Either the spiders there are amazingly elusive or, the birds had gotten to them first!
This particular photo shows back to back to back web work between two rocks.

Where once the little black house ant I thought was the most annoying pests around the household, a new and even tinier ant has surfaced and begun to invade! Micro sized and almost unoticeable if not on the lookout, these flea sized pests are a new nightmare!

Jumping spider

Tiny creepy crawly things in macro!
My latest point and shoot camera, which actually has a decent detailed macro mode, allowed me to see for the first time, how interesting the tiny bug world can actually be! This little jumping spider, who was no bigger than a grain of rice, displayed some striking metallic colors when viewed close up!
