A bit hard to get a nice shot with so little light and only a 200mm lens with a 5.6f minimum but I thought this was a half decently acceptable shot of last night’s blood moon/super moon eclipse. Enjoy!

Tonights so dubbed strawberry full moon.
A wide angle view of the moon and sea at night from the beach in channel islands harbor Oxnard Ca. The lights in the distance of the sea are massive oil rigs which are stationed out there.
An interesting capture of the moon within the night clouds. The cloud formation resembling somewhat of a monstrous skeletal hand.

Shot handheld with Samsung NX1000 and 1980’s manual focus super albinar 50-200mm lens at ISO100 and F-3.9 1/200sec.
Full zoom, handheld, and using this old lens with no in camera OIS can be very hit and miss. I think the sharpness of the moon turned out rather well on this particular one though.
The evening sky viewed from Don E Brooks ranch in California. A very bright sliver of a moon this evening and what is presumably the planet Venus to upper left corner also shining mighty bright.
The moon in the sky giving off a bit of a glowing aura through the clouds.
I don’t know why I am always so intrigued when I can see the moon in the sky during broad daylight, but I am.
