10086040On the other side of the lot on Wednesday’s cruise night, a motley crew of classic car front ends lined up in a row. My Hudson parked down at the far end.

While at a car show in Oxnard CA. this past weekend, I couldn’t help but be drawn to this timeless classic Rolls Royce within the mix of all the other fantastic customs and hot rods displayed. Shot at 1/160sec f8 iso100 32mm focal length

Using a little blurring image effect around the outline of my vehicle, I hoped to make my car appear to be a little more in motion than just standing still in park.

Snapping this pic of my car today brought that song by Santana and Everlast to mind. 🙂

From a 2008 Hollywood Hot Rods show.

Captured this shot at a Hollywood Hot Rods show in Burbank Ca. in 2008. Did a little retouch and tried a little bit of an artsy image effect on the original.

An enviable and excellent ride captured at a Hollywood Hot Rods show in Burbank in 2008.

Joined some of my grease monkey friends to a back yard bbq in 2007 where the home owner and birthday boy even had his own circle track where hot rodders could kick up some dirt. Took this shot when those who were going to ride the track first gathered up. Retouched this in sepia to try and make it look like it came straight from the old days.

Finally got my oldie running and out of the garage for a moment. Still a work in progress, but as long as she runs and drives things are good!

Wish I had my current camera when I took this picture some 5 years ago but even with my old point and shoot it still turned out pretty good.
From left to right is my ’52 Hudson Wasp Hollywood, my friend’s ’48 Dodge stake bed truck, and then another friend’s ’53 Chevy pickup.
All vehicles at least a good 20-30 years older than each of us are.
